This treatment helps eliminate debris, bacteria, and/or mites in patients with blepharitis. Home cleaning with wipes and other eyelid hygiene products has limited effectiveness when Zest® treatment has not been performed beforehand. This treatment effectively removes debris with unmatched efficacy and can be repeated periodically, much like a dental cleaning, as part of a preventive eye hygiene program.
The treatment relieves the irritation, itching, and inflammation associated with blepharitis. It also removes the biofilm along the eyelid margin, which can contribute to blockage of the Meibomian glands.
