The four Eye Am Eye Care clinics will cease their usual commercial activities and will now offer care for people with eye emergencies to help reduce the growing pressure on the health care system.
As of Monday March 23rd, the four clinics of the Quebec company Eye Am Eye Care, located in Montreal, Dorval, Boucherville and Quebec will open their doors exclusively to people with an eye emergency. Our goal is to prevent people with an urgent eye problem, but who are otherwise healthy, to visit a congested hospital and be unnecessarily exposed to the Covid-19 virus.
Our optometrists will be able to receive patients in the various clinics. More complex cases can be seen by an ophthalmologist, using to telemedicine.
Most common urgent eye problems can be managed at an Eye Am Eye Care clinic. It will also be possible to obtain emergency eyewear service, available by appointment only. However, in the event of significant eye trauma, patients are requested to contact a hospital center directly.
People requiring an on-site or virtual consultation must call one of the clinics directly or make an appointment online at eye-am.ca
